The Pieman's plan
Cakes would call
And he would land
To guide the cakes
Spawned from the batter
To help them find
What truly mattered

Everything was great
In fact exciting
Cakes found jelly

Pies found piping 

Still he wondered 
About the goo

If what he promised
Made dreams come true

To find the answers
He'd change objectives
Instead of campaigning 
He'd focus on lessons

Thus continued 
The Pieman's affairs
He'd focus on cakes
To show them that he cared

Hello my chosen ones

I've come by to see how you have been

What you think of your jelly

And if you heard anything that's been said

Personally

I'm not quite sure

Though I did feel elated

I think I need more

Thanks to your jelly

Our neighbors think we're great

Though Pound Cakes are quite dense 

I still told them how to get a taste

For some cakes have a high tolerance

You can only do so much

Being hemmed within your display *

Have you heard anything of note

I jellied quite a few of your kinsmen

Certainly their feelings have been shown

They say cakes should leave that stuff alone

Meant to control us from within
In order to direct the industry

Hate is inevitable 

For people always fear the new
That's why you have to create the familiar
To show them that it's cool...

Speaking of that
Do you like your brand new poster
I tried to emphasize your ripples
For they make you look a bit bolder

The poster is great
And we all like the attention
But some have started to think
And ask some very strange questions...*

Like who is the jelly giver
Will there be a second coming

Does Jelly make you anxious

What does it mean if he never stuffed me

Is there something we must do

Is there some kind of jelly lottery
Is it all because of the goo
That my feelings keep on tottering *

Cakes are so thoughtful

I do love working with your kind

Tell them to say "please jelly me"

And say it a million times

Or is that some kind of jelly lie

We will of course do as you please

But they will probably want to know why

Truth be told

I can only be in so many places

But by the time they're done saying jelly me

I will have jellied all of their faces

There's been other situations

Cakes are starting to doubt their self-worth

There are cupcakes that have gone missing

And there are rumors of bullied desserts...

We know your kind comes

But this feels a little different 

I don't know what it's worth 

But I thought it worth the mention

I see, I will have to think of a formal decree

Let it be known from cream to cream

The Jelly Man does not jelly violent treats

But what if they don't obey us

Or believe in what we say

After all we are the favorites

Of any cake that's on display

Yes, they might think it's a trick
Or some kind of power play

For we have cakes in window scenes
While most have never seen a display

In an all-inclusive tableau
It will create excitement in every aisle

That should quell some of the hate
But maybe you could stop by and say hey
For if all see the Jelly Man in person
Perhaps all doubts could be allayed

The last thing we want is cake migration
We can't have too many all in one place 

But I will come back for a special occasion 
And I'll have that sign in-hand to show them it's me

But how will they know that it's you
It's not us you have to convince
But the commons and haters too

This calls for a miracle
For they cannot deny what they see

That's a brilliant idea

I need to think of a hater
A hater other haters will hate
I think I have one in mind
Where do we keep the crumby cakes

So off he went to the computer again
Then designed and printed his sign
Then he grabbed his jelly instrument 
And he still had plenty of time 

He made sure to grab the pastry cart
And beelined to aisle 3

Then he grabbed The New York Style 
Without an utter or a peep

The crumby cake growled and moaned
But that was fine by Mestuffstoplease
For he knew that his jelly show 
Would convince the others of what could be

He set the cart at the cross section
of aisle 6 and aisle 5 *
Then he took a preliminary lap
Making sure to grab his signs

He mosied about with sign in hand
And made sure that it's in sight
All the while exclaiming with a grin

'Love is jelly and my jelly is light"

He taped his posters in aisle 2 
And some more in aisle 8
Thinking that's enough to spread the news
To the commons and the greats

He made his way back to his cart
For that's where victory awaits
He'd show the pastries the day he came
To jelly all the cakes

You have all heard of my jelly

And I've come to show you it's real

As you know here sits a crumb cake

And here is the power that I wield

Without waiting for a response

He grabs his piping bag

He's intent to jelly till there's no more jelly

Or until the crumb cake runs out of breath

He shoved it in and squeezed real tight
As polite and as fast as he could 
The crumb cake shouted then he screamed
And Mestuffstoplease knew this didn't look good

Knowing all that could be at stake
He knew he needed to explain
He immediately thought of the words
That he'd conjure up for the next scene

"Hocus pocus, alakazam"
"Be gone with you"
"You cake de-man"

[...]

Soon the cake de-man left
Or he ran out of breath
But that was a close call

And he still had a crowd to address

Now you know
The jelly I stow 
And as you can see 
Crumb Cake is now whole
He'll no longer grumble
And he'll no longer moan
For the cake de-man is gone *
And has now left him alone *

With that in mind
Here's my new vision
Only the Red Velvets
Have my permssion
To answer questions 
And make decisions
To keep the cake peace
And promote jelly's blessings...

But I must be going 
I have others to save
