While taking the first assessment, I realized—given my vast experience in corporate and customer service roles—that the appropriate answer may differ depending on the ethos of the company.  Should I assume that policy dominates, or that customer service dominates? I know that the latter is the case for in-store experiences and that the former is usually the case for online encounters, but there is a transition​ happening within the culture that demands that the latter be considered more often--because of potential reprisals via social media forums. What approach do you recommend that I emphasize when responding to these dilemmas?  Should I immediately capitulate and service the customer before they get irritated—as I don't know if there will be a follow-up question regarding the interaction--or should I emphasize the tug-of-war or iron fist approach?

Finding Calvin Process Insights (Updated 8/18/25)

  At first I wanted to just create an interesting story.  Then as it evolved I also wanted it to serve second hand as part of a broader script.  The idea throughout was to maintain the semblance of art while crafting ever-increasing dialogue.   I tried to construct this piece as to be both readable and watchable I tried to warn people of chip technology—and, of course, the inherent suggestibility of anyone born a G The first part of this story is a redemption piece.   - The second part of this story is an admonishment piece Initially, during the first entry of the second part, I wanted to make Calvin the good guy (as part of his redemptive come to Christ moment--which, unfortunately for Calvin, was more of a mental understanding for the need of redemption, and not a contrite longing for unification because of his wrongdoings) But, given the material that I wanted to cover and the humorous bent that it needed to be entertaining, I endowed Calvin with a ...
